Alessandro Benetti (1987) is an architect. He studied at Politecnico di Milano and at ENSA Paris La Villette. He has worked for several firms in the fields of architecture and urban design, such as Studio Macchi Cassia, privileggio-secchi, Laboratorio Permanente, viapiranesi and Studio Luca Molinari. He has contributed to several publications on contemporary architecture, including Guida all’architettura di Milano. 1954-2014, edited by Marco Biraghi (Hoepli, 2014) and Architettura. Movimenti e tendenze dal XIX secolo a oggi, edited by Luca Molinari (Skira, 2016). His articles have been published on Abitare, ARCH+, Area, Artribune, Domusweb, Icon Design and Platform Architecture & Design. He has collaborated to many exhibitions and events, such as The landscape has no rear (curated by Nicola Russi, in the frame of the 14th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia) and from 2014 to 2017 he was co-curator with Luca Molinari of the gallery SpazioFMG per l’Architettura, in Milano. In 2016, he started to collaborate with Université Rennes 2, in Rennes, France, as a researcher within the Mapping Architectural Criticism international programme. Since September 2017, he is PhD candidate in History of Architecture at the same institution.
