Antje Kramer-Mallordy

Antje Kramer-Mallordy is Associate Professor in the History of Contemporary Art at University Rennes 2 since 2011. She holds a PhD from Aix-Marseille University which focused on the Franco-German network of the neo-avant-gardist group Nouveau Réalisme. Her main research addresses transnational circulations and processes of historization of contemporary art and criticism.

From 2015 to 2018, she was the scientific coordinator of the project PRISME “Contemporary Society through the Prism of Art Criticism, 1948-2003” (funded by Fondation de France, Maison des Sciences de l’Homme en Bretagne, Région Bretagne, Université Rennes 2). The project developed a horizontal approach of the history of international art criticism through the archival collections of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). Since 2019, she is also Director of the Archives de la critique d’art (Archives of Art Criticism) and, as such, responsible for the research strategies, conservation policy and valorization of the collections.
